A company makes storybooks that feature unique details about a child, making him or her the star of his or her very own story
Christmas may have come and
gone, but the enjoyment of
receiving personalised
presents remains a year-round
treat for everyone, especially
children.
The brainchild of two
creative mothers, Look
It’s About Me, a company
that creates personalised
storybooks, was conceived when
Tatiana Pena Montenegro and
Kathleen Assad Lamata decided
to take their enjoyment in
creating stories for their
daughters, using their little
princesses as the main
protagonists, to other kids
who, like theirs, love being
the heroes or heroines of
their bedtime tales.
“Our personalised books
combine the quality of
hardcover picture books with
meaningful
personalisations,”
Tatiana, or Tats, as she is
better known, says of their
books, which are the first of
their kind in the Philippine
market. “We feature
unique details about the child
that make him or her the star
of his or her very own
story.”
The fun in creating your very
own personalised book starts
with the parents, who choose
which story suits their child
best. The selection ranges
from “My Great Space
Race” (always a big
favourite with little boys!)
and “My Super Duper
Birthday Party” (which
makes a thoughtful birthday
present), to “My Magical
Christmas Adventure”
(need I say more?), and one
that I can already tell my
little niece, who is learning
to swim, will appreciate,
“My Underwater
Adventure.”
Bonding
opportunities
“We love the idea that
these books promote bonding
opportunities with
family,” Kathleen, or
Kimmie, a mother of two
gorgeous girls, shares.
“The books also
encourage a love of reading
and enhance the child’s
self-confidence. It is really
priceless to see the smiles on
the children’s faces
whenever we see them opening
one of our books, which also
become treasured family
keepsakes in the long
run.”
Tats and Kimmie also produce
personalised colouring books.
Kids will have fun finding
their names hidden in the
drawings, wall art (which are
a great addition to any
child’s bedroom),
personalised placemats (hmm,
I’m considering this as
a nice giveaway for my
son’s classmates for his
next birthday), and named
wrapping paper, perfect for
kids with lots of birthday
parties to attend.
“When we started
working on personalised books,
we realised that we could
increase our portfolio with
other products that would make
a child feel special,”
said the two moms. “For
us this is only the beginning,
as we know that there are so
many things we can
do.”
Product selections and prices
are found on the Look
It’s About Me website

Enterprising, globe-trotting
mommies Tats and Kimmie know
that these picture-perfect
personalised presents will be
a hit not just with kids, but
with parents all around the
world, too!
